Shirin Ressang Les 1

The story is set during the conquest of the Aztec Empire. A young Aztec princess is left orphaned and trying to get away from the Spanish who want to kill all the remaining royals. The rest of the Aztecs are scattered over the country. The princess is hiding in the jungle with some friends. Their goal is to find friendly tribes who want to join them in opposing and fighting the Spanish. Their biggest chance is a tribe south of the Aztec Empire and a huge jungle. During the journey the princess tries to become stronger physically and mentally. She wants to be a great queen who will unite their people again. But right now she is still a young girl who tries to balance her childish moodswings and responsibility she has as a princess.
A captain of the Spanish army has been given the command to search the princess and either kidnap her or kill her if she is becoming to dangerous politically. This captain has survived many battles and has a very good strategic mind, although he very prideful and quick to anger. He is ruthless and much more likely to kill the princess than take her prisoner. He guesses correctly that the princess will journey south and follows her. He is leading a small troupe of soldiers into the jungle, but does not know what dangers or traps he might encounter there. They have encounters with the princess but until now she has managed to stay out of their hands by clever tricks.
