Characters:
Hero:
The hero is a young girl who refuses to accept that the world is a cold and cruel place.
She is a bit of a dreamer, a bit of an air head.
She is stubborn and determined in her beliefs.
She's a friendly bookworm, slightly awkward and could be considered naive.
She does is clever but not very rational.
She believes in faeries and often has some wisps with her.
She wants to inspire others to feel the same way. So she tries hard to show others kindness and hope.
She however gets insecure, doubts her convictions, gets hurt.
The fight is between her and Bitterness.
Villain:
The Villain is bitterness.
He was once a Human, convinced that the world sucks. He is bitter, cold and sarcastic.
He believes that anyone who's truly intelligent would see that.
He didn't only feel this way himself, he was dragging others down with him.
He felt it was his duty to make everyone see that dreams don't come true, that the world is harsh.
He wants to burst their bubble, to open their eyes.
This deformed him into a demon that feeds on the bitterness in peoples hearts.
He enters their minds and drains away color.
He alters the way they see the world.
(Key word, vision.) When he's on your shoulder, everything becomes glum and ugly.
As the heroine tries to help people, bitterness feels this attack on him. As she helps people believe in magic again he has less bitterness to feed on.
He decides to wipe out this threat against him. To deal with her first.
He tries to acces the bitterness in the heroines own heart and make her succumb to it.
She must now fight this demon directly.
It all takes place in a friendly old town. It is a lovely place, but if Bitterness is strong it seems bleak and depressing.
